An NFL team, the Cowboys has now become the first NFL team to get involved in the cryptocurrency space, due to their historic partnership that was announced only yesterday.

One of the most reliable and trusted platforms in the world – when it comes to buying, selling and generally trading cryptocurrencies for a lot of retail customers and institutions – Blockchain.com, announced yesterday that it will become the sole official digital assets partner of the Dallas Cowboys.

The news was made official by Cowboy’s general manager, president, and owner Jerry Jones along with Blockchain.com Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer Peter Smith at a press conference in the early hours of Wednesday at The Star in Frisco – the headquarters of the NFL team, The Cowboys.

What Does This Partnership Deal Entail?

Being a truly historical event for the NFL, there are some uncertainties surrounding what exactly the partnership with a crypto exchange would entail.

As the first national professional sports collaboration with Blockchain.com, the deal will include extensive advertising, branding, content and event opportunities.

More significantly, the deal will include the club space inside AT&T stadiums, visible signage with the stadium bowl, as well as extensive TV, radio and digital advertising.

The partnership will also make it easy for Dallas Cowboys fans to quickly access Dallas Cowboys ‘ contents and their Blockchain.com wallet simultaneously.

Jones stated in the announcement that Blockchain.com remains one of the oldest and most reliable digital assets platforms in the world, possesses easy-to-use products and remains relentlessly focused on customers. Jones went on to say that they intend to bring Wallstreet to the main street by making digital assets available to the majority, anywhere in the world and this is a beautiful touchdown for our millions of global fans.

Jones went on thus: “we take pride in being the first team in the NFL to sign an official cryptocurrency partnership, and are proud to venture into this innovative business with Blockchain.com.

The Goal Of This Partnership

Adding to the strong visibility, this partnership between the Dallas Cowboys and Blockchain.com intends to connect people on a much more integral scale. The partnership will bring together communities both virtually and online while engaging in social media promotions.

Furthermore, fans can – through this partnership – gain access to the exclusive experiences and rewards through their Blockchain.com wallet, ranging from player-hosted events to away games VIP trips.

The team will curate inclusive fan experiences with an upcoming “block party,” along with an educational summit for interested fans to learn more about the digital assets space.

With an aligned mission being stated and understood by both parties in the partnership, both brands will now create philanthropic campaigns where transactions can give back to the community, especially during the holidays.

Conclusively, the content will be created that is geared towards helping members of the organization, the fan community and the team in the understanding of cryptocurrency and the web3.

Blockchain.com CEO, Peter Smith concluded his announcement by saying that they chose to partner with the Cowboys because they are synonymous with the word “trustworthy” in the world of professional sports. They compete with a champion mindset and believe in a long-term partnership.

He went on to say “Growing up in rural America where football is deeply rooted in the culture, I’m incredibly honored to join forces with the world’s most valuable sports franchise and the Jones family, who have dedicated their lives to building a first-class franchise on and off the field for 33 years.”
